some poems

public masks, private pain

How are you doing?

I’m fine.

How are you doing?

couldn’t be better.

How are you doing?

It’s lovely outside.

How are you doing?

I have good days and bad.

How are you doing?

STOP…stop asking me that.

How are you doing?

I’m falling apart,

what do you think.

Each time I see you

I can’t take in air,

I’m tierd and I’m lonely.

I hurt in my soul

but… you’re MY heartbreaker,

so, shouldn’t you know?

OTHER PEOPLE.

Strangers in a room,

What they choose to share,

The things the want to keep.

You know only what they allow.

Look around and wonder

What secrets do they hide.

You’re drawn togther by circumstance.

But could a stranger change your life?
